SJC Head Coach Colin LENNON

Colin Lennon is in his third season at SJC as Head Coach and Director of the Women's Soccer program. He joined the SJC family in the fall of 2008 after serving as Assistant Coach of The George Washington University Women's Soccer Team for six years. While at GW, Lennon also directed all aspects of goalkeeper development and training for the Men and Women's teams. He also played an integral role in leading practice sessions, recruiting, scheduling, and fundraising.

Under Lennon's tutelage, the Cadets have won one WCAC regular season title and tournament championship - all in his first season at the helm. He has helped mentor eight players who have transitioned to collegiate athletics - two of which were perennial All-Met honorees as selected by the Washington Post

Lennon joined the GW staff after a two year stint as an operations manager at Ignition in New York. He developed soccer curricula, assisted in the hiring and training of international coaches and staff, and co-managed budgets for nationwide soccer education programs in South America and the United States.
Prior to his position at Ignition, Lennon spent a season as the Director of Goalkeeping at S.C. Del Sol in Phoenix, AZ under the direction of Paul Mariner (formerly England International). At S.C. Del Sol, Lennon developed training programs and monitored the development of the goalkeepers at the club. In addition, he conducted general and private sessions for players and traveled to Japan to manage the Goalkeeper School for Coerver Japan.
Lennon also spent a year as an assistant coach at his alma mater, St. Lawrence University, in 1997-98. At St. Lawrence, Lennon was responsible for developing lesson plans, training the goalkeepers, charting student-athletes' progress, and recruiting. He also developed the Goalkeeper School of Excellence to train area high-school keepers.
From 1996-98, Lennon played for Home Farm/Everton in the Premier Division of the League of Ireland, as well as in the United States' D3 Pro League. As a player at St. Lawrence, Lennon was a two-time captain and a three-time regional All-American. He led the Saints to two conference championships, their first NCAA berth in over a decade, and was presented with the NCAA Senior Recognition Award for outstanding achievement in collegiate athletics.
Lennon graduated from St. Lawrence in 1996 with a Bachelor of Science degree and currently resides in Northwest Washington, D.C. with his wife, Laurel, and two daughters, Katherine and Aiofe.
