SJC DRAWS SETON IN WCAC TOURNAMENT

The 2010 Washington Catholic Athletic Conference (WCAC) Girls Soccer Tournament pairings were announced earlier today with St. John's drawing the sixth seed in the nine-team competition.

The Cadets will travel to Bladensburg, Md., on Tuesday, November 9th for a tough quarterfinal match against Elizabeth Seton High School, the tournament's third seed. Both teams last met on October 29th at Quinn Field where junior defender Shannon Collins converted a penalty kick late in the match to lead SJC to a key victory in the league table.

"While we didn't attain a top four finish, we're pleased with where we are in the seeding", said Head Coach Colin Lennon. "Every game is a battle of will, strength and tactical discipline. We know that and will prepare for the challenges this presents during training today."

Kick off is slated for 3PM. Wear your scarlet and white to support the Cadets on Tuesday!
