WILSON TO LEAD COLLEGE RECRUITING SEMINAR

Former D.C. United defender John WILSON will lead a seminar on behalf of the National Collegiate Scouting Association ("NCSA") on college recruiting and eligibility for members of the SJC soccer program on Thursday, October 7th at 3:00 PM in Gallagher Gymnasium.

Wilson, 33, attended Clemson University on scholarship earning All-ACC honors and helping the Tigers win an ACC Championship and top raking in the NSCAA poll in 1998. Since 1999, he has played professionally with the Charleston Battery, D.C. United and Kansas City Wizards, both of Major League Soccer.

As a National Educational Speaker for NCSA Sports, Wilson travels around the country to speak with student-athletes, parents, coaches and school officials about the facts and myths associated with college recruiting of student-athletes in high school and club sports.

Parents are welcome and encouraged to attend.
